Mountaingate Capital Platform MeritDirect Acquires Compass Marketing to Expand B2B Data Offerings

Denver, CO, January 8, 2020 – MeritDirect, announced that it has acquired Compass Marketing Solutions, the leader in identifying, compiling and verifying business data in the US and Canada. This deal is the first acquisition by MeritDirect since it partnered with Denver-based middle market private equity firm, Mountaingate Capital, in May 2019 for the purpose of aggressively expanding its data and services offering to better serve clients in the B2B marketplace.

The acquisition expands the depth and breadth of MeritDirect’s B2B data solutions and offers its enterprise technology and B2B clients more comprehensive and targeted data intelligence across channels. Compass adds a group of talented B2B data industry experts to MeritDirect’s team, including company founders John Hartmann and Todd Love, who will be joining MeritDirect’s management team as Senior Vice Presidents.

Compass, a data-driven organization, was founded on the principles of building data sets that are unique to the marketplace and that offer expanded, high-quality data coverage for integration in online and offline environments. Their current solutions are highly complementary to MeritDirect’s offerings and provide additional scale for MeritDirect’s existing B2B data solutions, new product capabilities, as well as expanded and enhanced intelligence for analytics and insights solutions.
